It is autumn here in the art room and that means mud and leaves. The grade nine classes have completed building their clay boxes and are oxiding their clay pots. I hope to fire everything very soon. Once that firing has cooled we can go ahead and glaze the projects and then evaluated them. That takes care of the mud. The leaves can be found in the coloured pencil assignment that is being handed out this week. We will be using our drawing skills as well as our colour layering knowledge to complete coloured pencil drawings.
The senior intro to art class is just finishing up their whistles and have oxided their clay pots. They will be working in coloured pencil and moving on to pastels while we wait for the clay to dry in order to fire in the near future. I am thinking flowers (perhaps mums) for the drawing assignment. Hmmm.
Interim Report day is Wednesday the 20th. Now would be a good time to catch up on any work you may still need to complete. The art room is open every lunch hour except Wednesday for your art and drawing needs
